BAROQUE - Large scale, bold detail, and sweeping curvilinear lines are characteristic of this style,
    which originated in Italy in the sixteenth century

    BENTWOOD - Bending wood was a technique developed in late nineteenth-century Europe.

    BOMBE - Shape of a chest which bulges out lusciously in the centre front and makes secondary small
    dips at the sides.  

    BONE CHINA - is a type of porcelain body first developed in Britain in which calcined ox bone, bone
    ash, is a major constituent. It is characterised by high whiteness, translucency and strength. Production
    usually involves a two stage firing where the first, bisque, is without a glaze at 1280 °C (2336 °F),
    which gives a translucent product and then glaze, or glost, fired at a lower temperature below 1080 °C
    (1976 °F).

    BRUTAL - Not derogatory as one might expect but simply descriptive of a kind of architectural and
    interior design that esteems the use of natural unpolished materials.

    BAUHAUS - A German school of arts and crafts which emphasized modern production techniques and
    modern design

    BOLSTER - A cushion either cylindrical or pentahedral used on a sofa or day bed in place of an
    upholstered back

    BREAKFRONT - A cabinet built with two or more levels; the front surface is broken by a projection

    BROCADE - A heavy textile woven with designs of raised figures resembling embroidery or embossed
    design

    BUCKET BAG  -
    A type of soft-sided handbag shaped like a bucket with a round bottom, and is longer in height than
    width.
